摘要

At about 2:30 a.m. on June 22nd, neighbours along a short stretch of Highway 3 in southwestern Ontario along Lake Erie were jolted awake by a furious storm of high winds, pounding hail and torrential rain. The severity of the storm prompted some neighbours, fearing the worst, to head to the shelter of their basements. And when it was over, Doug Pardo of Pardo Villa Acres at RR1 Blenheim quickly headed into his fields. Flashlight in hand, he moved through his devastated peach and apple orchards and on to his strawberry fields.
