Contribution to the knowledge of the liverworts of North America

摘要

A list of 55 liverwort taxa, mainly from the Seward Peninsula, Alaska, containing rare species and providing localities representing considerable extensions of range is presented. It includes geographical and ecological information, data on associatedspecies and some taxo-nomic notes, Scapania compacta (A. Roth) Dum. and S. zemliae S. Am are reported from North America as a whole for the first time. First descriptions and illustrations of perianths of S. tun-drae (H. Am.) Buch and S. zemliae are given.
