Sigma-Aldrich/Supelco, a leading manufacturer of chromatography supplies, is seeking a Scientific Glassblower with at least 3-5 years of experience, preferably in an industrial environment." Major responsibilities will include completing a variety of advanced glassworking and glassblowing techniques in the fabrications and repair of stock and custom glass laboratory apparatus. The successful candidate will receive and interpret work orders and sketches showing specifications as to glass apparatus configuration. This person will assist all areas of production within the shop and assist in the training of co-workers in all levels of glassworking techniques as well as solicit and encourage suggestions for changes or modifications that may improve shop procedures on new and existing processes.
