The 2002 Symposium marked the seventh year of the Regular Member Glassblowing Seminar Program. Once again, there was a great turnout of participants who were anxious and willing to learn new techniques. Instructors Jack Korfhage, Georges Kopp, and Gary Dobos did an outstanding job sharing their expertise and knowledge. It is instructors like these who allow us, as a Society, to keep moving forward in our profession. A sincere thank you to these individuals for volunteering their time and their knowledge. Thank you also to Symposium Chair Gene Nelson and Workshops Chair Mark Wicker for all of their hard work. Transporting all the tools and equipment for this program from symposium site to symposium site is a challenging task. Unfortunately, the last two years have resulted in some lost equipment. This situation makes it difficult to run the program as the missing items are not discovered until setting up for the next symposium. I have commandeered a metal shipping trunk which will be used henceforth.
