Meteorium (Musci, Meteoriaceae) in the Russian Far East

The tropical moss Meteorium buchananii (Brid) Broth, is reported above 43° north latitude from the Lazovsky Reserve near Vladivostok in the Russian Far East, Taxonomy of the species is unsettled. Variation attributed to the species may indicate a polymorphic taxon or an unresolved species complex. The specimen was collected with an assemblage of mosses that represent five phytogeographic regions: circumpolar, temperate Asian, temperate Asian/European, temperate Asian/eastern North American, and temperate Asian/western North American,
