Section Reports--Delaware Valley Section

Thursday September 18th, the Delaware Valley Section held a meeting at Buena Tavern. The meeting was sponsored by Chemglass. There were 20 Regular members, 4 Junior members, 19 Student members and 5 guests, for a total of 48 people in attendance. Everyone at the meeting, except guests, paid their section dues for the 2008/2009 membership year. Ed Powell, DV Section member and Executive Secretary for the National ASGS, formally installed the new DV Section Officers. Thanks were bestowed upon the outgoing Officers and special thanks were given to Bob Russell who has served tirelessly as the DV Chair for the last eight years. Dave Surdam, 2008 Symposium Chair, reported to the group that the Symposium generated 21,000 dollars profit along with 6,500 dollars for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
