An Ultra-Sensitive Atomic Magnetometer

摘要

An aluminosilicate glass cell was used to create an atomic magnetometer so sensitive that it is believed to have a measured field sensitivity greater than two magnitudes higher than any previous recorded magnetometer. This paper will describe the principals of magnetometers, the construction of the cell and its possible applications.
