There is great news from the Junior Liaison Committee. The 2006 Junior Members Workshop will be held in Manhattan Beach. California which is located 3 miles south of the Los Angeles airport (LAX) and less than two miles from the beach. It has been a long time since we had a symposium in Los Angeles. I have been told by Symposium Chair Jim Merritt and several of oui national directors that this is a great site for our annual symposium (they also say that the hotel is beautiful), so I hope you will make every attempt to attend. The 51s1 ASGS Annual Symposium and Exposition will be held June 26 - July 1, 2006. The Junior Member Workshop program will be on Wednesday June 28 and Thursday June 29, 2006. These seminars offer junior and student members a great educational experience. Space is limited to the first twelve junior or student members. Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and I urge you to make your plans early. This Seminar is available at no cost to junior registrants; however, you must register for the Symposium and be an ASGS junior or student member in good standing in order to be eligible.
