摘要

As dietitians we appreciate that food is a cornerstone of culture. The choice of foods selected, the method of food preparation, the means by which food is served and the manner in which people come together to consume food will vary according to the cultural habits of a population. The opportunity to immerse oneself into a different culture and experience new foods and different methods of preparation and service presents an opportunity to learn and reflect on our perceptions of food and its value in society.
