Lamp Shop Hint--How to Straighten a Curved Coil

I recently had a customer supply me with a badly sagged coil to be used as a repair part of a triple coil condenser. In looking it over carefully I realized it had most likely been cut out of an existing condenser which had been run through an annealing oven unsupported while lying on its side so all the coils sagged off axis. The 12" long coil was made of 8 mm tubing wound on a 1/2" mandrel and had a sag of close to 3/4" at its center. It looked like a banana.
