Tutorials in combination with a scientific conference are very useful tools in the education of advanced students, young scientists and newcomers in polymer science. The annual POLYCHAR Conference (World Forum for Advanced Materials) and its Short Course in Polymer Characterization are presented and discussed as an example of a successful combination.
