HICON/H{sub}2 bell-type annealing furnaces for steel wire: high annealing performance-low annealing costs

Heat treatment is a crucial part of producing wire. Its purpose is to convert the microstructure and the surface of hot rolled and/or drawn wire to a state ideal for further processing so that the demanding requirements of subsequent processing machines and of the final application can be met. The efficiency of a heat treatment plant and thus of the process as a whole can be r measured by a handful of key criteria, r which also indicate the quality of the heat I treatment plant. The HICON/H{sub}2 bell-type annealing furnace fulfils all these criteria. In assessing the investment cost, close attention must be paid to the cost- benefit ratio. The benefits derive from a package deal consisting of - High annealing output - Maintenance support - Optimization of various annealing requirements and - Support in the development of new products.
