Profitable products thanks to modular design from Battenfeld/Battenfeld Injection Molding at the Fakuma 2002

Battenfeld was on hand at this year's Fakuma with efficient production solutions covering a wide range of machine designs, machine sizes and industries. Two of the systems on exhibit were based on the HM hydraulic series. The first was a multi-component application from the toy industry; the second, an automotive application, a back-molded B-pillar with sealing lip in the patented IMCmore~R process. Battenfeld presented a further system on a Vertical R for the automobile industry featuring the automated production of airbag initiators. The TMS machine for high-speed applications from the TM series was equipped for use in the packaging industry with a two-cavity in-mold labeling system for decoration. Rounding out the systems on exhibit at the trade show was a Microsystem for micro components for the production of a thin-walled housing with a wall thickness of 50 mu m.
