Many pumps can be operated significantly more efficiently and thus also more cost-effectively with variable speed control rather than throltle control. With the SVTW, Voith-Turbo has developed a vari-able-speed turbo coupling that uses water as the power transmission medium. This water-filled fluid coupling opens up new possibilities and areas of application thanks to a combination of variable-speed control, low-strain motor acceleration, robust technology, high efficiency and a compact design with a low investment outlay.
