Structural Steel Design Wins Award for New Terminal 1 at Lester B. Pearson International Airport

Three architectural firms - Adamson Associates Architects, Moshe Safdie Associates and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP - formed a joint venture named Airport Architects Canada to design a new international airport terminal at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto. They coordinated work with adjacent and contingent projects, both airside and landside. The new, 3.6-million-square-foot terminal, the centrepiece of an overall development by the client, will accommodate approximately 29 million passengers annually by 2015.
