Studer innovates for success

Studer, as well as other Schleifring companies, achieved high sales success this year, with this especially true at the EMO exhibition in Hanover, last September. EMO was one of the most successful shows ever for the whole Schleifring group. Innovations such as the Production Grinding Machine S12 - which won a MM Maschinenmarkf'MM Award 2005" at EMO - and the new Combined Machining System S242 underpinned this. Another global innovation is the Centre Grinding Machine SLI for grinding centres and round angles and which avoids the current, less user-friendly cylindrical grinding method. The results are unbeatable process costs. The S12 takes precision to a new level: in-feed movement in 10 nanometer increments (0.01 mu m). The S12 also sets new standards for in-feed speed of 30 m/min and an acceleration of up to 3 m/s~2.
