XanoShear is a unique liquid-based platform for nanofibre formation, said to lower the overall cost of production and significantly improve yields, to make commercial production possible in a range of markets. The process takes place completely in a liquid. Using polymers dissolved in a solvent, an anti-solvent is added to the mix and the polymer is precipitated out of solution as the two miscible liquids combine. This process is traditionally called wet spinning, and XanoShear takes it a few steps further.
