Question: A 28-year-old Vietnamese man without any significant past medical history presented with 6 months of epigastric pain without nausea, vomiting, fevers, weight loss, or other symptoms. Physical examination was normal, as were laboratory tests, including a complete blood count, liver function tests, and chemistry panel. Proton pump inhibitor therapy was administered for 2 months without any improvement in symptoms.
