From Bolzano, the world apple capital

Bolzano, the capital of the Italian Autonomous Province of South Tyrol, became the world apple capital for three days. The Interponía fair held from 6 to 8 November 2008 brought together 11,600 experts from vegetable growing and marketing. Of these,4,600 came from other countries. This is a considerable increase with regard to the 2006 Inter-poma. Then it was visited by 9,650 experts from 38 countries. The number of exhibitors increased slightly in 2008: whereas 273 companies and organizations were there with a stand in 2006, the Bolzano fair organization as the organizer was able to welcome 280 visitors this time around, again from fifteen countries, including Germany, Denmark, Japan, the UK, the US, Israel and Spain.
