To see the latest developments in fresh produce, Fruit Logistica held in the German capital Berlin from 7 to 9 February 2008, was the place to be. The organisers of the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA) 2008 made a selection from the new products for which tradeshow visitors could vote. Nunhems won the election with the Intense tomato. Due to this product, tomato is stepping into the world of fresh-cut. Urgurke was in second place and the toma-toberry in third place (see boxes).
