However increased demand from alternative users, local conservation issues and the impacts of climate change are all influencing water suppliers towards restricting water supplies to growers, for example, often at times of greatest need. The most common supplies of water used by UK growers are mains water and/or bore holes - and the use of both looks set to face increasing restrictions.
