FERC Is Asked by EcoElectrica to Approve Development of the LNG Terminal in Puerto Rico To Facilitate a Truck-Loading Operation

In early July, EcoEléctrica, LP (CP13-516) filed an application under section 3 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA), and the FERC’s regulations, for an amendment to the authorization granted by the Commission on 5/15/96, as amended in 2009, for additional authorization to site, construct, and operate the LNG Supply Pipeline Project at its existing liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and cogeneration facility site in Peouelas, Puerto Rico. EcoEléctrica aims to supply LNG to a proposed non-jurisdictional LNG truck loading facility that is being developed and permitted by Gas Natural Puerto Rico, Inc. (GNPR).
