ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLES ANALYSIS BY ATOMIC ABSORPTIONSPECTROMETRY (AAS) AND INDUCTIVELY COUPLEDPLASMA-OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY (ICP-AES)

Biological samples are interested from many aspects of environmentalmonitoring. Starting from assumption that the pollution factor from environmentalcan modify the normal concentration of elements in biological samples, we decidedto control the presence of toxic elements and the deviation from their normalconcentration. The aim of this work is to determine the elemental composition ofsome tree leaves situated in the vicinity of an industrial pollution source – SpecialSteel Trust Targoviste. Also, by this work we analyzed surface water from lalomitaRiver from Dambovita County. We try to demonstrate the applicability of differentatomic methods, like AAS and ICP-AES, for environmental monitoring ofDambovita County.
