Input and output controls in fisheries management: a plea for more consistency in terminology.

摘要

This paper deals with the confusion as to which suite of fishery management tools fit into the categories of input and output controls. It suggests that the issues of who is allowed to fish, where are they allowed to fish, when are they allowed to fish, and how are they allowed to fish, are all aspects of inputs to a fishery. The issue of what are they allowed to catch concerns the outputs from a fishery.
