FERC Grants McGraw-Hill Limited Conference on Dispute over Access to Gas Trading Data

The Commission on 1/28/09 denied a request by the McGraw-Hill Companies to stay and reconsider its December 30 order in the show cause proceeding (IN06-3) alleging violation of Market Behavior Rule 21 by Energy Transfer Partners LP et al. (ETP). The order had required McGraw-Hill's Platts Division to produce gas trading data compiled between August 2005 and December 2005 for 11 points across the U.S. McGraw-Hill insists the data are protected by the reporter's privilege under the First Amendment.
