Staff Panel Is Requested to Study and Resolve Proposal of Enterprise Texas to Raise Legacy System Rates by Almost 60%

An April 1 rate proposal filed at FERC pursuant to Section 311 of the Natural Gas Policy Act (NGPA) by Enterprise Texas Pipeline LLC (PR10-14) triggered a few protests including the opposition of BP America Production Co. and BP Energy Co. Enterprise Texas seeks approval of a two-zone rate to recover annua revenue requirement of $232.8 million and $114.9 million for the Legacy System and the Sherman Extension rate zones, respectively. BP requested that the Commission convene a Staff Panel to investigate the proposed rates, accompanied by the right of parties to (1) seek discovery from Enterprise; (2) present prepared testimony; (3) cross-examine witnesses that testify; and (4) present written pleading; (briefs) on the issues after the Staff Panel hearing.
