Imports and Exports Were Up in Fourth Quarter 2007 Compared to 2006 Level, Says Energy Department, But Fewer LNG Cargoes Pulled Imports Way Down at Year's End

The Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy (OFE) reported that the U.S. imported a total 1,102.1 Bcf of natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) during the fourth quarter of 2007. Imports were down almost 10% compared to the third quarter of 2007, mostly as a result of lower LNG imports.
