Cheyenne Plains Is Approved to Adopt Economic True-Up, But FERC Strikes Provision That Would Permit the Gas Pipeline to Over-Collect Quantities Out of Cycle at its Own Discretion

On May 30 FERC accepted a proposal of Cheyenne Plains Gas Pipeline Co., LLC (CPG) (RP08-362) to alter its fuel tracking mechanism, effective 6/1/08, subject to removal of one key proposal. CPG's current tariff provides for the reimbursement of fuel gas quantities and lost and unaccounted-for gas quantities (L&U) - collectively referred to as FL&U - through an in-kind volumetric true-up mechanism.
