FERC APPROVES WYOMING INTERSTATE COMPRESSION EXPANSION TO MEET PRODUCTION GROWTH IN PICEANCE BASIN

The Commission on 12/4/08 authorized Wyoming Interstate Co.Ltd.(WIC)(CP08-403)to expand(in two phases)its 142-mile Piceance Lateral from the Greasewood compressor station in Rio Blanco County,Colo.,to the Wamsutter compressor station in Sweetwater County,Wyo.The goal is to provide up to 230,000 dth/d of additional capacity out of the central Rockies.After an open season in October and November 2007,WIC executed 11-year transportation precedent agreements(TPAs)with shippers Williams Power Co.and Antero Resources Piceance Corp.for 190,000 dth/d and 40,000 dth/d,respectively.The application was unopposed.
