摘要

Historically,isotopic tracing of sulphur movement and chemical/bacterial conversions in ecosystems had limitations.Radioactive ~(35)S was suited to relatively small short-term experiments whereas sulphur compounds with high stable isotope enrichments were difficult to obtain and extremely expensive.
