Drinking water plants to spend US$18.5bn on treatment and flow control

The world's drinking water plants will increase their expenditure on treatment and flow control products by more than 5% this year, with purchases exceeding US$18.5 billion.According to Mcllvaine Co estimates, US$732 million will be spent by drinking water plants on cartridges, US$1500 million on liquid macrofiltration and US$1701 million on cross-flow membrane systems, which are finding increasing use in purifying drinking water because of their high efficiency.
