THE third edition of Aquaculture UK since its move to Aviemore in 2008, and also the third to be organised by Ascomber Ltd, this year's conference undoubtedly has great expectations to fulfil. Indeed, with record numbers of exhibitors booked in advance, it seems the build-up to the biennial event has not been in vain. Taking place once again in the Macdonald Aviemore Resort, which has so far proved to be a popular change from the SECC, the event will bring together a huge number of people involved inboth the production and processing of fish and shellfish — from all corners of the UK and much further afield. One of the highlights of last year was undoubtedly the Gala Dinner, which this year is due to take place at 7.30pm on 23rd May. This three course meal with wine is only 30, thanks to generous sponsorship of the event, and is limited to 300 tickets, so is likely to be a sell-out this year too, but anyone wanting last minute tickets should get in touch with organiser David Mack on 01862 892 188.
