Higher yields and fewer costs, not to mention a lower CO2 footprint - there are many convincing arguments in favour of tank bottom extract recovery. So many reasons, in fact, that more and more breweries are choosing this route. For small and medium sized breweries, however, this was until recently always coupled with one major drawback; due to the comparatively small tank bottom volumes, it took a long time for breweries to see any return on their investment costs.
