As things progressed in the early years it was apparent that a full-time workshop would help enormously which led Alex to Bentham where the business that followed led to a change of direction more towards maintenance to the specialist arborist and forestry machines and in particular MB Tracs where fabrication and construction of specialist 'chip boxes' were added to the range. The company time at Bentham was to last eight and a half years; developments included the introduction of cranes and they became heavily involved with rail conversion kits for use on chippers and hedge/verge cutters on the national rail network.
