Axium Process (www.axiumprocess.com) has designed, built and commissioned a self-contained ultrafiltration plant for waste management company Waste Recycling Group (WRG). WRG is successfully treating up to 140,000 litres of landfill leachate per day at a site in North Lincolnshire. The company reviewed a number of technologies that would not only meet local water discharge requirements but also increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the biological treatment system. Membrane filtration reduces the BOD and suspended solids content tvoical of leachate effluent.
