The Society's programme of activities has continued with a visit to the AstraZeneca cGMP facility in Macclesfield in September. For those who attended it provided an opportunity to see filtration and separation equipment, which plays such an important role in the production of many drugs, in a highly controlled environment, with different challenges to many industrial environments. On behalf of the Society I would like to express my sincere thanks to Jack Taylor for organising the visit and to AstraZeneca for hosting the visit.
