John Home and Bruce Lambie are the driving forces behind this new venture in Midlothian called Seasoned Hardwoods and they have just completed a very successful second year selling 600 tons of logs. John and Bruce were brought together almost by accident as business partners through a mutual friend in May of 2009. Back then, they took the opportunity to purchase Buccleuch Estate's firewood processor and kindling machines with both hands. This allowed them to set up their log and kindling supplies business with a simple goal of becoming a major supplier of these products in the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders areas, selling, "Good quality wood with low moisture content, so customers would want to come back."
