11~(TH) NORDIC FILTRATION SYMPOSIUM,COPENHAGEN

In the heart of Copenhagen and at the waterfront of the harbour,The Danish Society of Engineers hosted the 11~(th) Nordic Filtration Conference,August 25-26.Prof.Gunnar Jonsson,chairman of the Organising Committee,greeted the 80 participants gathered for an interesting meeting.In the scientific programme 21 papers were divided into three sessions-'Filtration and separation','Membrane filtration'and'New developments in membrane separation'.As pointed out by J.Koskela,there is still a substantial interest in cake filtration,especially in the mineral industry but increasingly in the biofuel and environmental areas.
