NOTES FROM THE 2008 AGM

摘要

The main activities of the year were largely centred on organizing four very successful one day international technical seminars and participating at the World Filtration Congress(WFC10).Organising technical meetings has been increasingly difficult due to the high workload on Council members during a period of strong market investment and production in the process industries.The promotion and holding of these events has allowed the Society to advance and disseminate knowledge in the design and use of filtration and separation techniques in industry,commerce and all walks of life.The active membership of the Society and the good technical programme has ensured continued financial stability,which will be particularly important if the world economies go into recession.
