Trev Herbert has a driving career that spans almost forty years; when he talks about his wagons, the work and the camaraderie he has enjoyed, you get the impression he has been smiling throughout his whole career. This is mostly true, but there has been the odd occasion when Trev has been up against it, and the air has turned a bit blue...Trev left school on a Friday and started work on a local farm on the Monday, but he was just biding his time. When Trev was 18 his friend, Neville Peate, (21) already had his HCV licence. In any free time he had, Trev would go out on runs with Neville, picking up timber and delivering it to the docks.
