摘要

A panel of experts last month gave their thoughts on how the sector can dig itself out of the EMS doldrums. Indonesia's management of the importation of live shrimp into the country has contributed a large part to its Early Mortality Syndrome-free status, said Global Aquaculture Alliance's George Chamberlain in a live webinar broadcast from Ho Chi Minh City last month.Imports of live shrimp are largely to blame for the spread of the syndrome and the panel reassured webinar participants that frozen product - so long as it has been stored at least 20 days - is safe.
