River basin management plans

In December 2008, the Environment Agency (EA) published draft river basin management plans for every river basin district in England and Wales. (SEPA did the same for Scotland.) These are the nation's plans for improving water and wetlands. The plansdescribe what everyone has to do to improve the water environment over the next 20 years. The proposals in the draft plans will almost certainly affect you, your business or your environmental interests. The EA wants to hear from everyone who can make adifference to the water environment. The draft plans are available for consultation at www.environment-agency.gov.uk until 22 June 09.
