An extended control from sea lice: zzA study in mid and upper Loch Linnhe, Lochaber, Scotland

MARINE Harvest Scotland (MRS), operates four Atlantic Salmon farms in mid and upper Loch Linnhe on the West Coast of Scotland. Gorsten, Linnhe, Kingairloch and Leven have successfully produced top quality salmon for over 15 years. In keeping with thecompany's integrated sea lice management practices and integrated pest management procedure, a single year class policy is followed such that the tonnage consent on these four farms is synchronously maximised in the second year of production (2007 in the study cycle) at 5,500 tonnes for some 2.2 million fish.
