With rapid global expansion of the aquaculture industry and the size and sophistication of facilities, it is hardly surprising that international and national authorities- both governmental and non-governmental- are developing certification and technical standards.This perfect storm of rapid growth in the size and number of facilities, increased sophistication and evolving certification and technical standards, places an increasing and ever changing challenge on aquaculture enterprises.The burden of proof as to a company's ability to meet certification and technical standards is increasingly the responsibility of the companies themselves. This requires documentation that meets the demands of international and national bodies.
