Parkhall venue for progress report

Parkhall Wood on the Bovington Hall Farm Estate, just north of the Essex town of Braintree, was the site for the latest British Horse Loggers (BHL) 'Progress Event' ... Visitors to Capel Manor College's recent 'Celebration of trees' may have seen Stella Cornell and Bruno demonstrating horse-logging skills at that venue but Progress Events' are a little different. BHL policy is to stage them, as far as is possible, in a real productive environment: bringing timber to the landing is the essential element. Stella and Stephen Westover did the hard graft of organising the work, with the support of the Tabor family who have farmed the Bovington Hall Farm Estate for centuries.
