A study was carried out in Germany with 10 F1 hybrids. Soil was covered by a black mulch film and P17 acryl cover was used immediately after planting on 14 april 2005. Alister, Partenon and Cora obatined early yields (approximately 1.35 kg/m2 after 4 harvesting weeks). The highest total yield (9.0 kg/m2) was obtained by Mastil but showed very low early yields. Cora and Partenon are recommended for early cultivation..
