3D visualization tools have been developed throughout the oil and gas industry to view various items involved in the decision-making process. This process started with seismic data viewing and well planning, and has matured to involve all facets of the life cycle of the business from rig design to HSE procedures. 3D visualization tools have now moved to the offshore seismic acquisition environment to further expand the uses of this relatively new technology.
