Talcing Action: New Hampshire's Wildlife Action Plan sets the stage for protecting key habitats

With so much natural habitat in New Hampshire disappearing so quickly as a result of ongoing growth, those of us who champion land conservation often face tough choices when it comes to determining our land protection priorities. How threatened is a given habitat type, and the wildlife that depends on it for survival? Conserving enough habitat to sustain healthy ecosystems and ensure the survival of existing native species is among the five key goals of New Hampshire Everlasting, the Forest Society's strategic vision. Our efforts to achieving that goal got a huge boost with the approval of the New Hampshire Wildlife Action Plan recently.
