A significant number of people have angina that cannot be treated using standard PCI. Percutaneous myocardial laser revascularisation is an alternative, but previous studies have been limited by placebo effects and a lack of blinding.Leon and colleagues assessed the effects of percutaneous myocardial laser revascularisation in people with severe angina. The primary endpoint was change in exercise duration between baseline and six months.
