Bioenergy; Correct pump selection plays key role in bioenergy projects

North America is a huge prospective market for biomass-to-energy projects. Canada and the U.S. combined accounted for only 12 percent of global biomass energy investments in 2005-2009, yet both have large feedstocks and fast growing appetites for green energy. With its huge land mass, Canada produces a prodigious quantity of potential raw material inputs-some purpose-grown crops for ethanol, but mostly industrial, agricultural and municipal waste, like millions of tonnes of wood residue from logging and sawmilling.
